Upload does not work

When connected to my VPN server testing my internet speed with any speed
testing website, such as speed.io, results in an upload rate of 0. When I
connect to my vpn server with Cisco's AnyConnect, my upload rate is the real
number. I use OpenConnect 5.99 with GnuTLS on Debian Wheezy. 

Browsing the web with OpenConnect works just fine. I have not been able to
do any other testing beyond that.

Any ideas what wrong here?
