Reconnection problem on roam

I have recently started using openconnect and really appreciate the work
behind it.  However whenever I restart the network service (ie, kill
wpa_supplicant and dhcpcd, then restart them), openconnect reports:

    CSTP Dead Peer Detection detected dead peer!

and then connection is lost.  I'm using the regular vpnc-script.  Does
anyone know how to solve this?  I often travel with my laptop and
suspend/resume it.
