I am still using kernel 2.2.17.

I want to upgrade sendmail from 8.9.3 to a later version
to be able to use a graylist milter.

sendmail 8.14.2 doesn't compile using gcc 3.4.6.

I get errors like:

cc -O2 -I. -I../../include -DNEWDB -c -o domain.o domain.c
domain.c: In function `getmxrr':
domain.c:591: internal error--unrecognizable insn:
(insn 1922 1918 369 (set (reg:SI 4 r4)
        (umin:SI (reg/v:SI 4 r4)
            (const_int 8192 [0x2000]))) -1 (nil)
    (nil))

I thought I'd try the latest gcc.

I hesitate to give up on the little machine because it's
quiet and ideal for my use as a mail & music file server.
10 watts and nearly silent with the newer hd.

I should probably just update the netwinder to debian etch,
but after the hd crash I had a few months ago, getting the
lil 'Winder to boot again with a new hd was a chore.
The howto did get it going again.

(thank you Ralph)

Are many people using debian etch?
Any known issues installing it over 3.1.15?
