I bought a CF card to fit in my epia on-board pcmcia/cf-reader.
its a 'vivanco' 1Gb compact flash card, which appears to be a german
brand. Stock Kernel 2.6.12 on debian testing.

I can't get it to work (tried for the whole day now); see the output of
how far I got; using usb-storage/sd_mod I just get:
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device

Question
a) is the manfid 0x90,00 a legal one? Or should I return the card and
try a different brand?
b) my debian package 'pcmcia-cs' has a config file that redirects all
memory cards to 'memory_cs' which I was under the impression was
obsolete in 2.6. Am I wrong? Is the config file outdated? Where can I
get a new config file?

Thanks.
