Not really - the only difference between the two shows that a card was
inserted.  No sign of any other changes.

Could you try applying this patch and reporting the extra kernel messages
please?  It may also be a good idea to add:

EXTRA_CFLAGS := -DDEBUG

into drivers/pcmcia/Makefile and pass "pcmcia_core.pc_debug=5" to the
kernel at boot (if you've built pcmcia into the kernel) or pc_debug=5
when pcmcia_core is inserted (if as a module.)
