Problem with card services on Sony PCG-C1MHP and kernel 2.6

First of all, something with your mailer seems broken: the first char of
each line was not sent at all...

Do you have pcmcia support built as modules? If so, could you try out the
following, please?
modprobe yenta_socket
modprobe ds

and then start

cardmgr
