[Linux-parport] Writing data to parallel

Dear Sirs, 

 

I need to have a simple driver to output data on parallel port and catch
interrupts. 

Similar to one described by Rubini in its book "Linux device drivers".

I wrote and installed one, but apparentely the instructions like
outb(val,port) have no effect.

Of course I unloaded the lp, ppdev, parport_pc modules.

Have you any suggestion?
