Okay, I found a copy of RH 7.3 at a used bookstore and installed it. It
still doesn't find the backpack. At least I can insmod paride, parport,
and bpck6 . . . only I don't know what to do next to get the backpack
recognized at startup. I have read the instructions at
http://www.torque.net/parport/paride.html but am still puzzled.

Any help will be appreciated.
