Sorry guys, but why it not allowed erasesize less than 8KiB?

Sorry Mike,
I was meaning mkfs.jffs2 does not allow to specify less than 8KiB as 
--eraseblock option

$ /home/fgiovagnini/sh7203/sh7203-uclinux-4.4-206/mtd-utils/mtd-
utils/mkfs.jffs2 --big-endian --pagesize=1024 --eraseblock=4096 --pad=2097152 
--root=/home/fgiovagnini/sh7203/sh7203-uclinux-4.4-206/build/sh7203-
images/root_fs --output=/home/fgiovagnini/sh7203/sh7203-
uclinux-4.4-206/build/sh7203-images/sh7203-filesystem.bin
Erase size 0x1000 too small. Increasing to 8KiB minimum
