Hello Conor,

Thanks for your review. Indeed there are driver changes in this regard 
which I've planned to submit separately in order to not mix the mailing 
lists.

But I see now that I should have added them in this patchset according 
to the 'submitting-patches' guidelines. I will add them in V2.
