 Nothing else is needed; all systems are go for this update.  I'm going to 
commit the "default nonfatal" patch.  The way I see it, the default case 
should be the one that is appropriate for production systems, not for 
developers.  
   
 Thanks for taking the time to make it a configure-time option.  This will 
allow everyone to do whatever they feel is appropriate in their build 
systems.
