I got some problems with 0.40 / 0.41 over here.

The issue with a missing Makefile.in in 0.41 has already been mentioned.

When using cmake with both 0.40 and 0.41, I get:
>Unknown CMake command "cmake_policy".
(still using 2.4.8)

And I get an additional compilation error as well when using --enable-cxx 
(with 0.40 as I can't get past configure with 0.41):
