we currently use a "wild mixture" of the lantiq vdsl components:

The AFAIK most recent intel/lantiq VRX200 DSL Subsytem Release V5.7.6.1 
(Annnex A) / V5.7.6.2 (Annex B) contains the following components:

dsl_cpe_control_vrx-4.17.18.7
dsl_vr9_firmware_xdsl-05.07.0B.05.00.06_05.07.05.04.00.01 (non-vectoring

I would prefer to switch to this package versions to have an officially 
supported release version.

I will also do the needed porting work, if you can put the relevant 
files to the openwrt source file-server.
