I built my previous image before the odhcpd change was pushed to the LEDE tree. To be sure I  tested with r3138-b8567cb (lede-17.01) as well: DHCPv4 works just fine.

Please verify that you are absolutely sure your problem is caused by be4842f5de346e463ae44cd0e161ce80311f0374. Do a make clean and a complete rebuild. If you still run into the problem, verify if dnsmasq is running, is listening on the DHCP port, etc. If that is ok yet it doesn't work, further debugging will be needed. E.g. run dnsmasq manually with --no-daemon and supply logs, and maybe packet captures from tcpdump.
