Hi everyone,
I am trying to expose the hostapd features of a router from a highly-depending-on-closed-source
manufacturer.
Thinks I'd like to investigate:
- Whether ieee802.11w management frames are supported
- Whether I can configure ieee802.11k and / or v to work better with a openwrt dumb ap. The
SSID properties specify 802.11v and 802.11k, but no clue how to align them with openwrt.
So, I know:
- The hostapd version is 2.7
- the daemon is called without config file. Most probably the AP functionality is created via
the socket file using a closed-source userspace daemon.
... and that's about it.
My support request is:
I compiled a separate hostapd_cli binary.
a) can I see which features the manufacturer's hostapd version supports if compiling a separate
hostapd_cli?
b) what is the syntax of an action file? I know the -a option is documented, but I have no clue
what an action file might be.
Thank you for your help,
Janpieter Sollie
