hotspot interface created by networkmanager does not work

Hi all,

Since I now no longer know what to do, I try to ask the question here.

I want to use networkmanager to configure a hotspot. it is also
created. But I can't connect to any clients. if i create the hotspot
with a wpa_supplicant config and start wpa_supplicant by hand it
works.

I have already collected the corresponding logs in an issue at
networkmanager's gitlab [1].

Does anyone have an idea what this could be or can give me more tips
on how to find the cause?
