immediate disassociated with hostapd 2.9. 2.5 work fine

I've narrowed it down to the change from 2.7 to 2.8

2.7 works alright

2.8 no longer connects, does the immediate diassociation,

where can i find the release notes ?
just wondering what ahs changed
