monitor 802.11 physical link with hostapd and wpa_supplicant

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie of hostap project. Recently I am working on a project 
using OpenWRT and WLE900V 802.11ac module. I want to add a function to 
monitor the 802.11 physical link state between AP and client using MAC 
layer info. The solution I found is using inactive time from nl802154. 
Then I made a test with one AP and one client. Both sides have no IP 
addresses. After the connection is setup I found that the inactive time 
continues increase until about 10 min and then restart from 0. The 
problem is that 10 min period is too long for us. And I know that when 
there are rx or tx, the inactive time will be refreshed. So I want to as 
Is there some parameters  or command to control the inactive time 
refresh period in hostapd ? Thanks a lot.
