[PATCH 4/9] tests: Few trivial fixes to p2ps tests

The first two sound like cleanup and "fixes", so I'll replace the commit
message title to match that.. (3) should be in a separate commit since
it is quite different type of change and in addition, happens to depend
on the patch 3/9 that I'm less likely to apply. I'll drop that part from
my work queue until the patch 3/9 outcome is clear.
