I could not find this param in wpa_cli commands in ctrl_iface.c or wpa_supplicant.conf
I presume, we can set this to have one channel (e.g 5GHz) and not to specify freq in P2P_CONNECT.
Am I right?

You can use p2p_pref_chan configuration to specify the order of preference between channels.
