I also hit the same problem some time ago, my workaround:
p2p_listen_channel=36

And on other cards I have to run p2p_find type=progressive to be sure
will find this 5GHz p2p device.

Currently seems social channels are defined only for 2.4GHz (1, 6, 11)
and because this fail.
I suspect social channels list will be extended in the future - added
some 5GHz channels.
