events not received on hostapd control event interface(Unix socket)

Hi All,

Is there an easy way to debug as to why hostapd control event
interface EVENTS are notreceived on the control interface.

I have an external application which binds to the unix domain socket
i.e "/var/run/hostapd" and listens on using the exact same select()
mechanism as the hostapd cli does,. Basically it emulates hostapd cli
in listening on the same socket. I am able to receive unsolicited
events when i use "hostapd_cli".
