What exactly are you referring to with "supplicant" in that sentence? If
you are talking about wpa_supplicant, then yes, it can act in
authenticator role with CONFIG_AP=y build when the network is configured
to be in AP mode (mode=2). Though, this has nothing to do with this
thread (IBSS/adhoc)..
