new, issue

Hi all, I'm new.  as you've probably assumed, I've joined because I've 
encountered an issue using hostapd.

here's the problem:  whenever I run hostapd /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf, I 
get one of two errors:

Line 19: invalid/unknown driver 'mac80211'
or
Line 19: invalid/unknown driver 'nl80211'

depending on whether I put mac80211 or nl80211 in my config file.

I've gotten the rest of the config to "work" with madwifi as the driver, 
however, the end result is highly unstable and a midgit farting in japan 
may cause me to lose connection and see stuck beacons among various 
other interesting behaviors.

While I would love to see madwifi support working, I'm in more urgent 
need of a working wireless network, and so I hope to get nl80211 or 
mac80211 working shortly.

please help!
