madwifi channel

Hello.

I can't set channel on my atheros pci wifi card with hostapd channel
option. I don't want to do it iwconfig (but it is possible).

With -d hostapd says :
...
ath0: IEEE 802.11 Fetching hardware channel/rate support not supported.
...
Mode: IEEE 802.11g Channel: 11 Frequency: 0MHz
...

Why 0MHz?
