Hi list,

I'm having this problem:

# ./hostapd -dd hostapd-04.conf
Configuration file: hostapd-04.conf
ctrl_interface_group=0
Failed to create interface mon.wlan0.
nl80211 driver initialization failed.
wlan0: Unable to setup interface.

I browsed the archives & searched the web, I've also strace'd and
ran hodtapd under gdb, but that did not help.

Any idea of what's going on ? (I suspect I miss something, but..)

My environment:

Kernel: 2.6.26.5
hotspad: hostapd-0.6.4.tar.gz

card: : RaLink rt61 (cardbus) based - works nicely in iwpriv scan and
adhoc mode. driver from the dayly CVS of http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/

libnl-1.1: "latest stable" from
http://people.suug.ch/~tgr/libnl/files/libnl-1.1.tar.gz
