Upgrade to new kernel stops wpa

Hello all. I recently upgraded my kernel from a Fedora-specific 2.6.12... to
a 2.6.13.2 kernel.

After this, I cannot get a link with my AP. Everything worked perfectly in
the 2.6.12 kernel. I used to first bring up the eth0 card with "ifconfig
eth0 up", then I started the WPA-supplicant with:
"sudo wpa_supplicant -B -i eth0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -D ipw -w -dd"

Then I did "ifup eth0" and I was up and running.

Now, all goes well up to the point of "ifup eth0", where no link can be
established.

I tried to reinstall the wpa-supplicant, but I get the same error.

If I boot on the old kernel, no problem...
Any ideas, anyone??
