not sure but try
"wpa_pairwise=TKIP CCMP" or "wpa_pairwise=TKIP TKIP"
for wpa2 or wpa
in both wpa.conf and hostapd.conf

4 days..try 4 weeks ;)) like me
Both hostapd wpa_supp. and madwifi
is highly powerfull software, they are working
also together but the faktor 11 risk is big
with all those options.
faktor 11 = userscreewups ;) i?m good for those
