This is only for AP (Master) mode, i.e., it will not change anything for
client modes. Current driver version does not have support setting
channel mask for scans, but this could be added. Active probing can be
initiated with a private ioctl (which is used, e.g., by wpa_supplicant),
but there is no command line tool for using this. It should be quite
easy to take the needed code for this from wpa_supplicant
(driver_hostap.c) if someone wants to make such a tool.
