Ndiswrapper +wpa_supplicant

Oh just reread and missed some information.

My ndis driver is bcmwl5 and the wireless card is the linksys wmp54g,
although ndis works okay when I turn off wpa encryption.

Also here is what is returned from iwlist wlan0 scan:

wlan0     Scan completed :
          Cell 01 - Address: 00:0C:41:9D:F4:4A

Extra:wpa_ie=dd160050f20101000050f20201000050f20201000050f202

A bit odd it says that the protocol is 802.11b as I have it set to only
accept 802.11g???

Thanks for your reply.

I'm running version 0.11 of ndiswrapper and 0.2.5 of wpa_supplicant.

I tried the ndis 0.12rc3 cvs but it errors when I compile.

Once I get:

Failed to initiate AP scan.

It just hangs there. There are no subsequent messages

"I saw similar issues with a scan for
specific SSID (scan_ssid=1), but broadcast SSID scan worked fine."

What value needs to be in my conf file to broadcast? I just followed the
instructions.

I've removed CONFIG_EAP_PSK=y from .config and recompiled okay. Config now
looks like this:

CONFIG_WIRELESS_EXTENSION=y
CONFIG_DRIVER_NDISWRAPPER=y

Thanks for your help

If you will provide some more information..

Which version of ndiswrapper are you using? With which NDIS driver and
which wlan card?

And what happened after this? I saw similar issues with a scan for
specific SSID (scan_ssid=1), but broadcast SSID scan worked fine. Please
also verify whether you can see the correct AP in 'iwlist wlan0 scan'
output and whether this includes wpa_ie information.

You do not need EAP-PSK for WPA-PSK; it is an experimental EAP method
that is not likely to be deployed anywhere yet.
