Information request about hostapd with OSX

I've set up a nice system at my work, with XP clients, hostap(0.1.0
debian testing), and freeradius (0.9.2 self compiled) doing EAP/TLS.

They connect just fine, yet when I think I've set up my new Mac laptop
( OSX 10.3 ) properly, to try and connect to the AP, and use TLS, it
asks for a username and password.

Has anyone had luck with getting OSX to talk to hostapd using TLS?

Anything I need to give you guys to help find out what I've done wrong
or isn't supported?
