Firmwares 1.7.4 & 1.8.0

Hello

I use hostap v0.1.3 as access point (wl200, fw:1.5.6). The
windows Xp client (Orinoco, fw:8.72) and Linux client (wl200,
fw:1.5.6, hostap v0.1.3 in managed mode) authenticates and
associates OK immediately after i have run "kick mac" command.

But an another windows Xp client (prism2.5, fw:1.7.4) takes several
minutes to authenticate and associate itself again after the
"kick mac" command.

Is it worth to update the Ap firmaware 1.5.6-->1.7.1 or the Windows
client fw from 1.7.4->1.8.0 to get the client to authenticate and 
associate more quickly?
