Basic Q's re wpa_supplicant

Hi Jouni,
Compiled a wpa_supplicant.config (two actually: one to run on its own; 
one to run with xsupplicant, both attached) from a combination of the 
info in the readme and my xsupplicant.conf (attached, original from: 
http://www.ece.auckland.ac.nz/~tcol036/wireless/xsupplicant.conf).
Got into Uni...

But alas...
Here's the debug output from the terminal on running wpa_supplicant, 
first on its own, then config'd with xsupplicant (not much difference).
Any help you're able to offer would be very much appreciated.  Thanks.
