Does Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection mini PCI adapter support HostAP??

I using RedHat 9.0
I go to
http://www.cat.pdx.edu/~baera/redhat_hostap/kernel-2.4.20-13.9.HOSTAP.i686.rpm
to install HostAP driver, but the linux cannot detect my wireless card
(Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection mini PCI adapter) and cannot
be allocated IRQ to my wireless card. Therefore, I go to
http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/ to install the driver and now I can use
wireless card in linux( kernel 2.4.27). Now, I want to ask that which
HostAP package or source I should download to install so that I can use my
wireless card in HostAP?? Does Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection
mini PCI adapter support HostAP??
I using kernel 2.4.27.
