problems with wpc11

I use orinoco driver with linksys wpc11 prism2 and i wanted to switch to 
hostap.
I get the same response in dmesg after i change the configuration  stuff in 
/etc/pcmcia/config
and it loads hostap modules instead of  orinoco, and everything looks the 
same in dmesg, except for it mentions nothing about eth2, and in this case, 
nothing about wlan0.

there is no interface for wlan0 and eth2 created when i use hostap.
what to do?
