Card initialisation problem under RH8

Occasionally my WL200 doesn't seem to initialise properley at bootup and
sometimes requires that I restart the pcmcia service several times before it
kicks in.
The system is Redhat8 running kernel 2.4.20

The following is the output from dmesg.
Does this shed any light on what might be happening?
