Warning when setting txpower to auto

Hello,
 
When I issue the following command:
 
    iwconfig wlan0 txpower auto
 
I get the following warning:
 
 
Warning : Device wlan0 has been compiled with version 15 of Wireless
Extension, while we are using version 12.  some things may be broken.
 
 
I can only assume this has something to do with the many versions of
wirless.h floating around my linux box, but that is only a blind assumption.
