Wireless extension and hostap

I need to ask ,I  use Hostap driver 0.1.2 and
 i get this mesage evry time i write iwconfig.

Warning: Driver for device wlan0 has been compiled with version 16
of Wireless Extension, while this program is using version 15.
Some things may be broken...

I have kernel 2.4.23 this supports 16 and wireless-tools 26 but the drivers not support
this version ... (I think)
Exist a patch for hostap to support wireless extension 16 or high or the 0.2.0 drivers support it ...
