You may want to check the recent thread about sensitivity control:

As I understand it, setting sensitivity using RIDs doesn't work correctly,
so it should be done directly through the communication processor.

I don't think _you_ did anything wrong.  It's more like the firmwares have
some differences and possibly bugs.
