atmel support?

Is there future plans to support atmel chipset (AT76C502A) with hostap
driver?

These cards are cheap and common. Big companies like d-link and smc move
their prism2 based cards to atmel cards. Like smc2632w -> smc2632w v.2
d-link dwl-650 -> dwl-650+.
 It is dificult to find nowdays prism2 based cards...
