GIP 2.95 reports as v2.83 in Linux Mint!!!

Ooops, I did install v2.83 (totally forgot I'd done it) but now having 
problems uninstalling it:

sudo apt-get autoremove get_iplayer
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package get_iplayer
