The "WARNING: Couldn't locate meta data!" in your log is a strong hint 
that something may be wrong with the file that makes it indigestible to 
mplayer.  Did you try to run that command from the prompt?  And did you 
try to play back the .flv file?  Or delete the file and re-download?
