Default record directory question - probably a stupid question at that!

Having installed the latest version last night, I find that recordings 
are now being saved to a default directory on the desktop rather than my 
previously configured network drive.

I've just spent 90 minutes looking through perl scripts and .cmd files 
with no luck! Can somebody please tell me where the required info is 
stored??
