Maybe.

I'd rather establish for sure that no bug in get_iplayer is causing this problem before dismissing the matter.

Also, this is a lot more interesting than a lot of the stuff we've been dealing with recently.

Unless, y'know, this is caused by a remuxing bug in ffmpeg.

I think some of us have seen one of those before, haven't we?    ;)

It never has been before.

In fact, the PS3 has a built in iPlayer client. That could, of course, be using a different video stream / source at the BBC. But it's worth checking.
