I have to apologise for having rushed in and assumed that when Automator said it was loading the audiodescribed vesion it was, in fact, doing so.   I have now checked, and Automator addresses the same programme id , now 230, for both the plain version and the audiodescribed number.

Very sorry for raising your hopes.  It just shows that little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
