Driver dies, cannot be resurrected by river reload

Hello,
I tried searching the archives and could not find an identical report.
My laptop was running continuously for some time, >12h since last sleep
and ~24h since boot, when a first message in the syslog appeared that
the driver for my network card crashed. I did not notice this for a few
hours until I discovered the network gone. Trying to reload the module
with `modprobe -r ath10k_pci && modprobe ath10k_pci` as well as trying
to rescan the PCIe device by writing 1 to
`/sys/bus/pci/devices/.../remove` did not work.
Completely rebooting successfully activates wifi again, no errors of any
kind in the logs.
Is this a failing wireless card or a driver bug?
I will also update my kernel, but as this is not always occurring I
won't know immediately if it helps.
