I haven't got your point yet.  Are you proposing arrays as a means to
support multiple different modems simultaneously?

Frankly, I'd like to keep this driver as simple as possible, and I'm not
certain making it run multiple modem types at the same time is justified.
Can you imagine a use case for that?
