Pre-pay phones for skiing

I was looking at this earlier also - there are places here in the
States that rent phones for oversees - but it looks like it's about
the same price as just buying a prepaid phone.  My regular phone is
CDMA, so I'll need to pick a phone up.

BTW, is there better coverage from cell towers in France or
Switzerland at the resort?
