Hi,
So I finally got my act together, and even more importantly the Pierre
et Vacances people finally got their act together as well and updated
their website. Plus the LCA organizers changed their dates again!!! LCA
is now Jan 24-29 so going the week Jan 29-Feb 5 is out.
However good news, according to the PV site, the week Feb 5 - 12 is at
the same 'before the madness start' pricing, so if we go the week of Feb
5 - 12 we can get it at the good price.
These are the same apartments as we had in 2007 and 2008 - they have a
bedroom with a smallish double bed and two sofa beds in the living area.
I recommend we do not put more than 3 people in an apartment, or a
couple booking an apartment but paying for 3.
The prices including insurance (damage/theft, loss of skis, not
enough/too much snow etc) will be:
EUR 330/person
EUR 990/apartment
I have added a little margin in this price to cover the case where we
are short a person to fill up a flat etc. but anything left over we'll
spend on going out for dinner or be returned.
6-day ski passes are EUR 209 (plus maybe 3-4 EUR for the actual RFID
card). Shorter/longer day passes are available. I do remember we getting
a discount on the ski passes if we book in bulk, but we can look at the
details for that when we get closer. Count EUR 209 for now.

Closest airport to Avoriaz is Geneva. We can either rent cars or take a
bus to Avoriaz (round trip to Avoriaz ski station is EUR 65 on
www.altibus.com) and I believe there are smaller shuttle services
available too.
So if you are up for going to Avoriaz Feb 5-12, let us know as soon as
possible so we can figure out how many flats to book.
Cheers,
Jes
