commercial version of IEEE 1588 available. The latest upstream kernel has

would depend on exactly what you are doing with it. If you are just using
the Linux kernel I don’t think there is a problem (I’m not a lawyer
btw) but if you are going to make some sort of HW implementation then you may
need to license things. There are I think 4 patents around this
technology I believe. They are called out at the end of the actual IEEE
specification.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
